The place is a key-concept in Geography, its definition has not always been clear throughout history this science. The same seems to take on more evident contours and occupy its due place with the Humanist Geography, from the 1970s. However, still it is necessary to reinforce the concepts theories surrounding this concept. In this aspect, this work is to identify and analyze a set of concepts related to the place in Humanist Geography that allows to understand the affective relationship of people with the environment. Therefore, are listed the concepts of culture, symbol, meaning, Social groups, living world, everyday life, experience, body, house and home. Thus, the place, as center of meanings and values, Next to these concepts, becomes an important tool for meaningful reading the relations of agreements and disagreements of the human being with his lived universe.Downloads
