Análise sobre a zona oeste da cidade do Rio de Janeiro a partir das sujeitas e sujeitos periféricos e os movimentos sociais

Abstract

In this article we try to relate the debate about subjects and peripheral subjects (D’Andrea: 2020, 2022) with social
movements in the West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Our theoretical-methodological path was based on a tripod,
namely: (I) bibliographic debate, (II) netnography based on social networks to survey social movements in the West Zone,
articulated with (III) a geographically situated analysis based on of a peripheral subject/researcher. It is worth highlighting
that social counter-movements are also organized in the outskirts, and that we have noticed an increase in these
conservative collective actions, sometimes extreme right-wing, in the West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
