EDITORIAL

Beginning of a new stage

The UERJ Nursing Journal in this volume of 2014, complete 22 years of uninterrupted circulation in a continuous improvement process, implementing important reformulations as of this volume. Among these are:

- The formalization of the bimonthly together with the IBICT. In the years 2012 and 2013, the Journal published special issues as a first step in the process of expanding its editorial capacity and also evaluating its potential to meet the growing demand for publication spaces. This decision is a challenge for periodicals that are maintained with their own resources, but also represents their dedication and struggle to meet this demand. Thus, from 2014 this will be the periodicity of the Journal.

- The renewal of its graphic design - we believe it is essential to identify the Journal for the reading public, considering the eventual printing, a consequence of prioritizing the online format. Thus, aimed at modernizing and simplifying the monitoring of trends with maintaining readability, from 2014 becomes effective in the new graphic design. Important to ensure that this project maintains all required specifications as qualification criteria for scientific journals.

Such changes arising from the growing demand of texts for publication and the commitment and dedication of genuine Associate Editors, Editorial Boards and Ad-Hoc , and staff of the Secretariat of the Magazine and editors who favor this area of scientific communication.

Throughout these years of publication, the Magazine has added multiple efforts of Editors and Advisers, with unrestricted support of Directors of the UERJ School of Nursing, which enabled the achievement of their quality goals.

To all, our gratitude
