Abstract

This article examines, in light of British Cultural Studies, the special series of the Jornal Nacional (by Rede Globo Television), entitled "Evangelicals", analizing the texts, images and interfaces between the religious discourse and journalistic discourse inside the series. Secondly, it studies the dialogues between television, journalisc and simbolic construction in the process of identity of this social group. Thirdly, it presents some evidence of perception by the target group, particularly from the speech of churches on the process of production of reports and care taken with regard to the fact that "being in Globo"
