Abstract

This article seeks to understand the relationship of the character Mafalda, from the argentine cartoonist Quino, with the television. To do so, fifty strips about TV were analyzed, selected among the nearly 2,000 stories published by Editora Martins Fontes in the book “Toda Mafalda”. We will seek, through the analysis of these strips, to understand the importance of television and mass culture in a massive form of communication, the comics.
