The quality of democracy: the impact of cibercjtizenshjp on Brazil and Spain politics

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the concepts of Democracy, Political Participation and Citizenship, in order to allow a study of what would be cyber-citizenship, and finally, what their impact on Brazilian and Spanish Democracy. Studying tbe cun-ent democratic phenomena tbat devastate the two nations, above ali, how the interference of technological advances may bave influenced the quality of current democracy in Brazil and Spain.With the increasing participation of the individual in politics, either directly (referendums or plebiscites) or indirectly, tbrnugh the election ofrepresentatives, tbere is a concern for the deroocratization of technologies and democratization through technologies, however, an atteotive look must be put in relation to the multiplication of the media aud relationship in which it has become an environment prone to the propagation of information and opinions that has in fact influenced politics in general, through bibliographical and empirical research seeks to study these impacts within the policy of Brazil and Spain.
