Abstract
This article aims to assay the influence of the religion power in electoral process, principally ín neopentecostal churches. The methodology of work goes through the historical analysis of the church 's role, as representative ideological apparatus of power, in order to contextualize tbe receot and expressive advance of characters related to tbe oeopentecostal churches in the electoral process, that has been constantly associated with the abuse of relígious power. The study is based on the analysis of the Federal Constitution and electoral legislation, especially regarding abuse of power and prohibited electoral conduct.
